Stay on target Hands-On: ‘Stranded Sails’ Is a Relaxing Farm Sim AdventureHere’s an Hour of Incomprehensible ‘Death Stranding’ Gameplay Metal Wolf Chaos is the most amazingly American game to never come out here. It’s a From Software (yes, the Souls guys) action game where you play President of the United States Michael Wilson, who has to pilot his mech to thwart his vice president Richard Hawk, who usurped the presidency and is terrorizing the people of America. It’s an Xbox game from 2004. It has a fully English voice track. And it only came out in Japan. And Devolver Digital might be fixing that last point.Devolver just tweeted out an image this morning, a monochrome seal of the President of the United States. It’s an eagle with a triangular shield, holding a minigun in one claw and a missile in the other. No text, no explanation, just the logo. There’s a good possibility that the game they’re teasing is a port, remaster, or sequel to Metal Wolf Chaos. The tweeted seal is on the left. The seal from the box art of Metal Wolf Chaos is on the right. The eagle on the game is holding the more traditional olive branch and arrows, but otherwise it’s identical. That’s the same eagle, with the same three-starred shield and the same armored head. This is huge, at least for the small subset of American gamers who have been clamoring for a version of Metal Wolf Chaos they can play. While the voice acting is in English, the game’s menus are in Japanese, so even if imported the game can be difficult for non-polyglots. More importantly, the game is very rare and expensive, with copies running for $200-400 even in Japan. A digital release or physical re-release would put the game in a lot of hands.Fans of the series ran a small Twitter campaign in 2016 to convince Devolver Digital to port Metal Wolf Chaos. It looks like they listened. We reached out to Devolver and will update this with any official announcement. In the meantime, just watch the trailer for the game to understand how amazing it is. This is how America can truly be made great again. With a righteous, heroic president piloting a mech with dozens of guns. Let us know what you like about Geek by taking our survey.
