You won’t see a better team goal than this anywhere…

first_imgIt may be derided as the less glamorous sister of the Champions League, but that doesn’t mean the Europa League isn’t capable of moments of beauty. That was proven once again last night as Sevilla scored perhaps the best team goal you will see anywhere in a 3-1 victory over Standard Liege. The Spanish side have something of a love affair with Europe’s second competition, having won it a joint record three times in their history, all of which have come over the past eight seasons, including last year’s triumph over Benfica.Indeed, it seems as though Unai Emery’s side are looking to do it again this year, as they currently top Group G. With the winner of the competition earning a spot in the Champions League next year, expect to see even more wonderful football as the tournnament progresses.
